Not long after electricity became available to people other than the Nobles, large factories began popping up just about everywhere. As humans dug deeper into the science of things, oil became a natural resource for them to call upon. It's because of this that cars were created. With the emissions from the factories and cars, the earth began to warm as CO2 filled the atmosphere. Over the next 50 years, the weather began to change little by little until it was no longer predictable.

Farmers could no longer produce the food as well as they could before. Unforeseen frosts and droughts began killing off crops quicker than the farmers could farm them. Livestock began growing sick and farmers couldn't find out why. With food dwindling, people began relying on storehouses and other places where food has been kept. Those quickly ran dry too. Humans were left to scavenge for food, leaving the life cycle to the survival of the fittest.

For a long time, people had long forgotten about wolves. It wasn't until this desperate time arose that Paradise had been brought up. Nobles who knew the stories from before began hunting for Lunar Flowers which had withered due to the unclean air. They looked into the alchemy it required in order to turn these flowers into hanabitos, flower people, like the ones that had supposedly led the wolves to Paradise before.
